- Expert pre-sale advice: Tina guided us in putting together a game plan to prep our home for sale. We followed her plan to the letter.
- Superior market knowledge. Tina’s pricing of our home was dead on. Other similar homes for sale in the neighborhood eventually dropped their prices closer to the price of our home since they weren’t selling. You could say Tina drove the market in that area.

I was told the home buying process was complicated, time consuming and stressful. However, Tina proved my fears were based on others negative experiences and not what she could make it to be. Tina made everything simple and a pleasure to experience, from searching for houses to look at to knowing what to expect and what documents we needed to gather. Tina was always willing to show us homes that were within our budget and needs; she didn’t try to sell us homes that she thought we needed but instead listened to us and found what WE wanted and stayed within budget. I just wanted to accurately convey how wonderful our experience was while working with Ms. Tina Barton. I found Tina browsing through Google in February 2013. My husband, my son, and I were moving from Northern CA to Mesa, AZ (I was transferring work locations). We’ve never been to Mesa and wanted to move into an upper class family friendly neighborhood with a high rating elementary school. We didn’t want to buy a home right away, so we decided to rent into an area we would eventually want to buy a home in. We were moving in September 2013, so Tina advised us to seriously start looking in July/August. She signed us up to her website where we would receive updated emails on houses for rent with our exact preferences. We were picky, so it took a while but when we found something we truly liked, she personally walked through the property, checked out the neighborhood, and reported back to us. AMAZING representation! In September, she found us a beautiful house right across the street from a park and an elementary school.
We rented for about 6 months before we decided to buy a home in this perfect area Tina found for just for us. Unfortunately, the house we were renting was not for sale but Tina was confident she would find a comparable home. She found several houses we loved, we put offers in but the sellers kept falling through. We were frustrated and disappointed but she kept our spirits up and she kept finding better and better homes than the ones that had fallen through. Exactly one year after we arrived, she found us the PERFECT home. My son didn’t have to transfer schools and he got to keep his new friends. As first time home buyers,my husband and I are so happy we chose Tina as our Realtor. The whole experience was highly emotional, I can’t imagine doing this twice! Thankfully,Tina was our anchor and helped us find our perfect house. We had so many requirements for our home, I didn’t think it was possible to find what we wanted on our very small budget. And yet, Tina made sure that neither one of us had to compromise, we’re so happy in our home!
Tina gave us the freedom to explore the houses on MLS,but stepped in with suggestions when we floundered. We could always count on Tina making time for us to see houses that were new on the market. The short-sale house we ended up purchasing was a beautiful home that would have gone fast if we didn’t react quickly. We were fortunate to be the first ones to see the house, which had a lot of upgrades and in prime condition, which is rare in these times. We knew this was the house for us the minute we saw it and Tina made sure that we got in our offer immediately. Luckily, she did this quickly, as many offers came in after that, which were then used only as back-up offers. I would like to say, that our experience with HomeSmart, has been absolutely wonderful! Our agent was Tina Barton, and she could not have been better! She was with us, and for us, every step of the way. She was very efficient more so than one would expect, in this day and age. The overall feeling that we got from Tina, was that she actually enjoys her job, and that she really cares about each and every client she takes on.
She followed up on, and stayed on top of, everything – every step of the way. There were times when we became discouraged, and felt like just giving up on the entire process, but Tina, in her calm, positive, professional manner, kept us going.
Tina made sure that we understood everything that was going on, and was always there to answer all of our questions. This was a major factor for us, because we had bad experiences with previous realtors. Tina, if not immediately available when we called, always called us back within 24 hours or less.

Tina advised me of what needed to be done prior to listing my home to get a jump on the competition in my neighborhood. With her advice my home sold in 1 day. With running a corporation time is very valuable to me, she made sure that all of the negotiations went smooth. She also found me my dream home and negotiated both closings with ease to expedite the stress of moving. Last July we decided that we needed to move to a home that was closer to work because our commutes on the freeways in the Phoenix area had become unbearable and a huge waste of time. The process of finding another home and selling the one you have been living in for 12 years can be a daunting, highly stressful endeavor. We chose Tina Barton as our Realtor to help us through the process and we thoroughly enjoyed working with her! We looked at homes where we thought we might like to live and Tina was always there with a positive outlook and gung-ho attitude while braving the mid-summer heat. Our geographical areas of interest decreased and our uncommon requirements ruled out a lot of properties. I was contacted by Tina while looking at online listings. I was looking into the purchase of a second home in the Phoenix area. I had also spoken to other real estate professionals and asked Tina about some of their statements to me regarding the Phoenix market. She told me what she did and did not agree with and after going to the entire process Tina was right on about everything she said. I have friends in the greater Phoenix area, but 1 still needed an education about the current market and areas. There was a lot more to the process that I had anticipated and although I had done a lot of research, Tina’s advice was invaluable. Most impressive were the circumstances of my first offer. I was in love with the house, area and thought the price was fair. My inspection was a mess and Tina strongly encouraged me to walk away. I was hesitant at first, as I would have cost and time to return to Phoenix to look again. I had paid a lot of inspection fees and I was already emotionally involved with the house. It would have been easy for Tina to just let the deal go through and move on to another client. 1 did reject the house and I added another community to my possible locations that Tina had recommended. Although “in my mind” I thought I would buy in a different area I ended up buying in the community Tina wanted me to look in and I love the house and the area. Tina really listened to all my objectives of it being a second home, close to the airport, recreation and grandkids friendly. I really felt she was an advocate for me and kept me on the right track. She was 100% responsive and professional; truthfully I can’t come up with anything negative about my experience. My only problem is, I love the house and community so much I never want to come back to Wisconsin!

Tina Barton at Home Smart Realty is the best realtor I have ever met.
I first met Tina when I went to my old realtor and asked him about helping me with a short sale on my home, and he said you need to find a realtor that is sharp and knowledgeable about short sales and is quick.
I got a flyer in the mail from Home Smart and I called and met Tina Barton she was all what I was looking for in a realtor and more, she always was quick to respond back to all my calls, texts and emails.
On the short sale, she was checking with the banks and mortgage co daily making sure they were doing their job correctly. In the end she helped me walk away from my house not owing anything.
Since then I’ve called her on several occasions on looking for a rental and she always fit me in her busy schedule somehow,even on a short notice. Even when she was on vacation she answered her phone and answered all my questions.

The contractor who painted the two bedrooms and installed the ceiling fans was worth every penny paid. The rooms came out just the way we wanted them. The audio video company also did great work. I was very impressed with how clean the installation of speakers and rerouting of the TV cable went. And I have to mention the cleaning lady who came in and deep cleaned the house before we moved in. Your husband did a fantastic job in making the floors look like brand new.
Buying a home can be a very frustrating experience but thanks to you we had a very smooth, hassle free one.
